Expert in cardiac arrhythmia strengthens Helios Amper-Hospital Dachau

Dr. med. Michael Ulbrich has recently joined the cardiology team at the Helios Amper-Hospital Dachau as medical director. The award-winning expert in cardiac arrhythmias brings a wealth of experience with him.

When do cardiac arrhythmias require treatment and which are life-threatening? As a specialist in rhythmology, Dr. med. Michael Ulbrich answers this question every day. Born in Munich, he has been Senior Consultant for Cardiology and Internal Intensive Care Medicine at Helios Hospital München West since 2018. In his role as Medical Director for Rhythmology and Invasive Electrophysiology, he is now contributing his experience to the further development of specialist care at the Helios Amper-Hospital Dachau.

"I am delighted to be able to expand the range of treatments for a variety of cardiac arrhythmias on site in Dachau with an extremely competent treatment team and high-quality technical equipment," says Ulbrich. The specialist also has a high level of expertise in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and heart failure in particular. "In addition to catheter-assisted sclerotherapy, we can help many patients with special variants of pacemaker and defibrillator therapy," says the specialist in internal medicine and cardiology.

Ulbrich is certified by the German Society of Cardiology (DGK) in the field of "Special Rhythmology" and "Heart Failure". "With his high level of specialist qualifications and focus on rhythmology, he is the perfect addition to our range of services. Our patients will benefit enormously from his knowledge and expertise," emphasizes PD Dr. med. Bernhard Witzenbichler, Chief Physician of Cardiology and Pneumology at the Helios Amper-Hospital Dachau.
